I will be teaching in the 5th and 6th grade at St. John’s this year. I was born and raised and have lived in Hannibal, MO all of my life with the exception of about 4 years. I am married and have 2
children and four grandchildren with the fifth one to arrive in November. I taught in the Hannibal Public Schools for 10 years and then homeschooled my two children from Kindergarten through
high school. Most recently I was the Associate Director of the ADVANCE Program (adult degree completion program) at HLGU. While away from teaching in a school setting I have
taught in Sunday School at Calvary Baptist Church from pre-k through high school and also I worked in the Youth Department for many years at Calvary. As you can see my true love is
children and teaching and God. I have been praying for an opportunity to teach school in a Christian environment for quite some time so when this opportunity arose I truly felt like it was a
God thing… Isn’t He GOOD!!! I feel honored and blessed to become a part of the school and to be able to touch the future in a positive way.

My name is Corwin Ryck. I grew up in Jefferson City, MO. In 2007 I graduated from Jefferson City High School. In 2011 I graduated from Westminster College in Fulton, MO with a BA in Elementary Education. I taught second grade at St. Peter’s Catholic School. I then got married to Jennifer Hugenburg and moved to Hannibal. I joined the Army National Guard as a military police officer. This will be my fourth year at St. John’s Lutheran School.

I have two beautiful daughters. Callie will be attending St. John’s this year and Nichole was born this past March. I also have two dogs (Bailey and Lucky) and two cats (Katniss and Addie). I enjoy running and doing Ju-jitsu as a hobby when I’m not working.
