My name is Amanda Alexander. I am from rural Adams County, Illinois and grew up on a Christmas Tree farm. I did my undergraduate studies at Western Illinois University, and I am currently working on my Master’s Degree at HLG. I began teaching in schools in 2013 and have loved and enjoyed it ever since. Some of my hobbies are reading, baking, crocheting, attempting DIY projects and being outdoors.

My husband and I have a one year old daughter, who keeps us on our toes, and an old dog named Cooper. I am just as excited as the students to be back together in the school community after the extended break. I can’t wait to share my skills and experience with students in the classroom!

If you would like to support our class, we are always in need of extra supplies for classroom.  You can find a list of supplies on the Amazon Wish List linked here.

You can find the spelling lists here each week for seventh and eighth grade.
